right now right now right now, intense is not even the word for it "what is fear teaching you about your trust?" your way of trusting alice wondered not the one that follows mr rabbit, but maybe we're all a little late to the party last week i went on a trip' i thought i'd meet someone else, but it was just myself blue hat on, time spelling it out in big bright bold letters in front of my pupils: told ya' by the end of the night i held my first silver hair between the fingertips (even though i'm still not sure it wasn't a residue from my last bleach) honestly, i don't know if my poetry isn't just a diary entry and i am just too lazy to right proper long paragraphs into my notebook or if i just like putting my every day riddles into metaphors to makes sense of the world. thank you for reading anyway... that's a lot of justice what kind of thread are we knitting our social fabrics of? (do you know a good weaving technic that'll make it unbreakable?) whom did you call when you really were in pain last time? how can your care defy capitalist time? how do you let others take care of you? how to i let others take care of me? a snake makes circles, a circle is a spiral, my spine will shed itself over and over again maybe the sphinx's riddle is actually not something to solve, but it is the solution itself
the sphinx in this trip is inspired by Lark Lyra Lou’s work-meeting “Everybody’s Tripping”. You can read more about their work HERE. it’s the most honest and funny thing i’ve seen in a while.
And now to the PSA of this puddle:
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
The questions i was asking earlier come with and through me spending a lot of time with my closest friends and loved ones to think about care in the apocalypse nd to practice a peer to peer structure called The Hologram. I have learned to ask for help, i have learned to talk about hard feelings, to listen and to not always find solutions together and most of all i have learned to become harder to fuck with. And along the way I found people to do this whole change thing with, that we constantly talk about and for that i am grateful beyond words. Wanna learn what that "Theory of change is”? If you’re in Berlin this week, come to The Casino for Social Medicine tomorrow, Wednesday 12th on the FULLMOON. Below is our invitation.
If you’re not in Berlin, but are curious, write me or follow the rabbit to another wormhole.
The Hologram: a totally doable theory of change
Hologram organizers present The Hologram.
The Casino for Social Medicine in Berlin is our latest Hologram-affiliated project. In this venue, we have used our findings from the Hologram to set up small interventions and programming that battles alienation, upskilling everybody in social interventions, communication, and mutual aid strategies. In the disguise of a cafe, we are building a space in which people already make the connection between their physical health, their inner mental landscape, and the social conditions surrounding them.
This coming Wednesday we’d like to invite you to a two-part event. We will start with a practice session of The Hologram in small groups from 6-8.30pm. The groups will be held in English or German and will be accompanied by a facilitator. This is the best place if you’ve been wanting to try it out yourself. From here on we will be offering practice sessions every two months, in the style of community evenings, helping us to sense what is possible for cultural workers living in the apocalypse.
From 9-10pm some Hologram organizers will tell you about “a totally doable theory of change”. The Hologram, a peer to peer mutual protocol for distributing support, has now existed since 2016. At one time, it was considered art, but now it is a community, an alternative economy and a popular pedagogy that activates a totally doable theory of change. We have raised a generation of people who know how to survive interdependently, to put out social fires, and to not be distracted by shiny things. We will tell you how it happened, and how you can also become harder to fuck with. We will learn from the past, circle back to the social solidarity clinics in Thessaloniki where it all started, leave the art world in between and get to where we are now and how to practice the theory of change, meaning: when one person changes, the community around them changes too.
Feel free to drop in at any moment of the evening!
And if you can’t make it, the next practice community will happen on MARCH 20th. You can also join the Telegram Channel of the Hologram to receive updates!
